Inclusions · Explora Journeys

Explora's all-inclusive story is buried three clicks deep on their own site. Here it is on one page.

Yes — Explora Journeys is all-inclusive in scope, covering meals at nine restaurants, unlimited beverages including premium wines and spirits, Wi-Fi, gratuities, the thermal spa, and shoreside shuttles. Three things are not included: shore excursions, airfare, and select chef-hosted experiences.

Cruise lines describe inclusion differently on purpose — what gets called "all-inclusive" by one line is the base fare on another, with the upcharges arriving at the end of the trip. This page lays out what actually comes with an Explora fare, what doesn't, what costs extra and roughly how much, and how the inclusion picture changes if you move up tiers. Then a comparison row against the three lines Explora gets asked about most.

  • Gelateria & Crêperie at The Conservatory (EXPLORA I & II only) — OR — Shore Club on 11 at The Conservatory (EXPLORA III, IV, V, VI)

On Explora I and II, the ninth venue is the Gelateria & Crêperie at The Conservatory. On Explora III through VI, that venue is replaced by Shore Club on 11 — a beach-club-style restaurant. You don't pick both; the ship picks for you.

What costs extra on top of the fare?

These show up on the folio if you choose to use them.

  • Anthology

Signature Italian fine-dining. By Head of Culinary Franck Garanger. Refined gastronomic journey, seasonal Italian regional ingredients with wine pairings.

Tasting menu: €165 per person. Wine pairing: €70 per person. (Explora bills in EUR even from the /us/en site; today's USD figure goes in your inquiry reply.)

  • The Chef's Kitchen

Immersive culinary experience for 12 guests; guided by chefs; hands-on; explores ingredients, flavours, techniques, traditions.

  • The Chef's Table Explora III, IV only

Private dining. You collaborate with the chefs to write a menu from scratch. Sized for an intimate group; usually booked for a celebration or a particular conversation that needs the room.

  • The Cellar Explora III, IV only

Wine bar. Old World classics, New World favourites, rare vintages. Guided by Cellar Masters.

Wine by the glass: €/$ 15–20. Rare vintages priced separately.

  • Wines, spirits & liqueurs beyond the included list

A small reserve list — rare bottles and harder-to-find spirits — sold by the glass or bottle when you want something the included pour doesn't cover.

Shore excursions are not on Explora's own Inclusions page but are extras in all cases. Air, pre/post hotel, and ground transfers below the Ocean Residence tier are also extra.

How does Explora compare to Regent, Seabourn, and Silversea on inclusions?

Each line stacks inclusions differently. Regent is the only one of the four with truly all-in shore excursions and business-class air bundled. Explora's selling-price advantage over Regent narrows significantly once you add what Regent already includes — so the right question isn't "which is cheaper" but "which inclusion set matches how you actually travel."
