What to do on a day in Amador (Panama City)

• Watch ships transit at the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center, with its observation decks and canal museum, a short drive from the terminal
• Explore Casco Viejo, the old colonial quarter of plazas, churches and the seafront Las Bovedas, about 25 minutes by taxi

• January to March (dry season, peak cruise window). Typically hot, sunny and the driest of the year, highs around 31 to 33C with steady humidity and trade-wind breezes, February the sunniest and driest month.
• April (late dry season). Typically the hottest, highs in the low to mid 30s C with rising humidity as the first wet-season storms approach late in the month.
