EXPLORA II · Mediterranean & Western Europe

4 nights, Barcelona to Marseille

January 24, 2027 – January 29, 2027 · 4 nights · 5 stops

Explora's name for it: A Journey of Catalan Coasts & Mediterranean Serenity

Four nights, five port calls, no sea days: this is a tight Western Mediterranean run from Barcelona to Marseille, with Valencia, Palma de Mallorca, and Palamós stitched in between. The pace is brisk and city-forward. Barcelona alone asks a lot, with Gaudí's Sagrada Família and the medieval Gothic Quarter both reachable from Terminal H on the Adossat quay. Valencia hands you a real choice: the old stone of the cathedral or Calatrava's white science city, linked by the dry Turia riverbed, which you can ride end to end by bike. Palma earns its day on density, a honey-colored Gothic cathedral rising off the seafront above a square kilometer of pedestrian lanes. Palamós is the outlier and the reward, a working Costa Brava fishing town where the quay sits in the center, about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the boat, with an afternoon fish auction still landing on the dock.

This itinerary rewards travelers who like to move and want range over depth. Most ports here dock 4 to 6 km out through working terminals, so a chunk of each day goes to shuttles and taxis before you reach the good part. If you want slow mornings and walk-off ports, this is the wrong route. If you want five distinct cities and a fishing village in four nights, it delivers.

Explora II is all-suite and all-oceanfront.
