EXPLORA II · Mediterranean & Western Europe

5 nights, Málaga to Civitavecchia (Rome)

February 27, 2027 – March 5, 2027 · 5 nights · 5 stops

Explora's name for it: A Journey from the Rhythms of Andalusia to Italy's Cherished Islands

Five nights, five ports, no sea days. This run from Málaga to Civitavecchia is a city-a-day route across Spain and Italy, and the appeal is that almost every stop puts you off the ship and into the old town on foot. In Málaga, the Muelle Uno promenade walks you from the terminal into a flat, pedestrian core holding a Moorish hilltop fortress and a 1st-century BC Roman theater; graze the tapas counters at Mercado de Atarazanas, then climb straight to the Alcazaba next door. Cagliari docks about 800 meters from the center, an easy climb from the Marina up to the Castello citadel. Trapani drops you at the edge of the old quarter, with a cable car up to Erice, a stone town that sits 750 meters above the dock in its own weather. Naples puts you a ten-minute walk from the historic center, or use it as the gateway to Pompeii.

This itinerary rewards walkers who want a different historic core every morning and don't mind a fast clip. If you want slow days, beach time, or one place to settle into, pick a longer route. Two stops are gateways more than destinations: Naples asks you to choose city or Pompeii, and Civitavecchia is really about a regional-train day into Rome, which eats most of the time ashore.

Explora II is all-suite, all-oceanfront.
