Getting ashore

Reversing Falls is best reached by a short bus or shuttle ride rather than walked. One day is enough to combine the falls, the market, and the uptown core comfortably.

Weather and when to visit

• September to October (peak cruise season). Typically cool and changeable, with highs around 11 to 19C dropping into the single digits at night, fall foliage strongest in late September and early October, and rising October rainfall over roughly a dozen wet days.
• Late summer shoulder (August). Milder, but Fundy fog can roll in off the bay and sit over the harbor, so expect the possibility of a gray, damp morning that burns off later.
