Getting ashore

This is a tender port; the boat drops you in the center of Villefranche, right on the waterfront with no shuttle needed. The train station is a roughly 10 minute walk along the bay, with frequent service to Nice (about 7 to 10 minutes) and Monaco (about 11 to 16 minutes). One day handles Villefranche plus one neighbor (Nice or Monaco) comfortably; trying for both is tight, and because it is a tender port you should build in margin for the afternoon return.
