EXPLORA I · Caribbean & Central America

15 nights, Miami to San Juan

January 20, 2027 – February 5, 2027 · 15 nights · 11 stops

Explora's name for it: An Extended Journey through Ancient Marvels & Glittering Shores

Fifteen nights, one way from Miami to San Juan, with eleven stops that bend from the western Caribbean and Central America back east through the islands. With that many calls across fifteen nights, the pace is steady rather than packed, and the route splits cleanly into two characters. The first half is built around water and excursions: Roatan, where the Mesoamerican reef sits close enough to snorkel a living coral wall straight off the sand at West Bay, and Belize City, a tender stop where you pick water or jungle before you book because the cave tubing and the reef cayes run in opposite directions. Santo Tomas de Castilla is pure transport-out, a working cargo port with nothing walkable, so the day is one booked excursion, the Rio Dulce boat into Garifuna Livingston or the Maya stelae of Quirigua. The back half is walkable old towns: Key West's square-mile Old Town on foot, San Juan tied up at the Old San Juan piers with the forts and cobbled grid a few steps from the gangway, and tiny Terre-de-Haut in the Saintes, tendered straight into the village.

This rewards a traveler who likes range and does not mind that a few ports, Santo Tomas and Belize especially, are gateways that trade the town for one inland choice. If you want every day walkable from the ship, the early Central America calls will frustrate you. If reef days, Maya ruins, and Spanish colonial towns in one long arc sound right, this is your sailing.

Explora I is all-suite and all-oceanfront.
