EXPLORA III · Caribbean & Central America

6 nights, Miami to San Juan

February 28, 2027 – March 7, 2027 · 6 nights · 6 stops

Explora's name for it: A Journey from Glorious Shorelines to Nature's Allure

This is a one-way run from Miami to San Juan, six nights and six calls, so the pace is brisk with no real sea days to spread out. Miami is the embarkation contrast, bayfront parks and museums a short ride from downtown, with the free Metromover looping the skyline if you want a morning before sailing. From there the route threads the eastern Caribbean. Cruz Bay on Saint John anchors the quiet end, two-thirds of the island held as national park, where the Lind Point Trail behind the visitor center reaches a near-empty beach without fighting for a taxi. St. John's in Antigua lands you in a walkable downtown, but the day is better spent at a beach or the restored Nelson's Dockyard a short drive out. Terre-de-Haut, the main Saintes island, tenders you straight into Le Bourg, where Fort Napoleon closes around midday and the village bakers still make tourment d'amour the old way. Charlotte Amalie and San Juan close it out, the latter tying up in the Old San Juan piers with the cobbled grid of pastel houses steps from the gangway.

This itinerary rewards travelers who want a different island each morning and don't mind a packed cadence. Several calls are tender ports where you anchor off and queue for a boat, so build in that time. If you want slow days at anchor or long stretches at sea to settle into the ship, pick a different route. This one keeps moving.

Explora III is all-suite and all-oceanfront.
