This is a dense, port-every-day run through the eastern Caribbean that starts in San Juan and ends in Miami, so you are off the ship and into a town nearly every morning. The shape rewards walkers: in San Juan the ship ties up at the Old San Juan piers themselves, with the colonial grid, the Paseo de la Princesa, and El Morro a few minutes uphill. Gustavia on St Barths is the standout, a small French harbor that has deliberately kept big ships out, so only luxury lines anchor offshore and tender in, and the town never feels crowded. Grand Turk is the slow counterpoint: a leeward beach steps from the pier and a sharp offshore reef wall that makes it one of the rare ports where the wall snorkeling is genuinely good.

Two ports carry caveats worth knowing: Gustavia is tender-only, so swell can shorten or scrub the call, and Basseterre on St Kitts forces a choice between the Scenic Railway and Brimstone Hill, since each eats most of the day.
