EXPLORA III · Caribbean & Central America

6 nights, Miami to San Juan

March 29, 2027 – April 5, 2027 · 6 nights · 6 stops

Explora's name for it: A Journey from Glorious Shorelines to Nature's Allure

Six nights, one way from Miami to San Juan, with a stop almost every day across the northeast Caribbean. After the run out of PortMiami, the calls come fast: Cruz Bay on Saint John, where two-thirds of the island is national park and the day is built around protected beaches and reef rather than duty-free shopping; St. John's in Antigua, a quick browse of the Georgian waterfront before the real prizes, the beaches and the restored Nelson's Dockyard, a short drive out; and Terre-de-Haut in the Saintes, a few square kilometers of red-roofed Creole houses settled by Breton and Norman fishing families. Time Fort Napoléon first thing there, since it closes around 12:30 and does not reopen. The arc finishes at the Old San Juan piers on Marina Street, where the walled colonial grid starts a few steps from the gangway.

This itinerary rewards a traveler who wants frequent, walkable port towns and is happy to tender. Cruz Bay and Terre-de-Haut have no pier deep enough for the ship, so you anchor off and tender in, and tender-queue time eats into a short day. The towns themselves are small, so the value sits in what you do beyond them, a North Shore beach, Nelson's Dockyard, the ferry from Road Town to The Baths on Virgin Gorda. If you want long sea days or one deep base, look elsewhere; this is six stops in six nights.

EXPLORA III is all-suite, all-oceanfront.
