EXPLORA I · Caribbean & Central America

6 nights, San Juan to Miami

January 4, 2027 – January 11, 2027 · 6 nights · 6 stops

Explora's name for it: A Journey of Caribbean Delicacies & Idyllic Islands

Six nights, one-way from San Juan to Miami, with four island calls between the two gateways. The pace is easy: a port a day with short, walkable towns and no long sea stretch, so you spend your time ashore rather than in transit. The arc starts strong, with Explora tying up at the Old San Juan piers on Marina Street, a few steps from the cobbled grid of pastel houses, plazas, and the two stone forts. From there it threads the northeast Caribbean. Little Bay is the standout for being unusual: from designated safe viewpoints you can see Montserrat's ashen ghost town of Plymouth and the steaming volcanic dome that buried it. Road Town is less about Tortola than its position, with the ferry terminal a short walk from the ship and a roughly 30-minute crossing to The Baths on Virgin Gorda.

Pick this one if you want a low-friction island week where the towns sit at the gangway and you skip the tour bus. Skip it if you want depth in any single place, or if a buried-city stop and dome views feel too somber: Little Bay's volcano sightings depend on whether the summit is clouded, and Plymouth itself needs a permitted guide. Antigua and Tortola also reward a beach or a boat over their small downtowns, so plan to move.

Explora I is all-suite, all-oceanfront.
