EXPLORA III · Caribbean & Central America

6 nights, Miami to San Juan

November 8, 2026 – November 15, 2026 · 6 nights · 7 stops

Explora's name for it: A Journey through Beguiling Caribbean Coastlines & Lush Landscapes

Six nights, Miami to San Juan, with seven calls and no repeated port. It runs port-heavy rather than slow, so expect short, full days more than long stretches at sea. Two of the best stops are anchorages, not piers: at Providenciales the whole day is Grace Bay and its snorkel reefs, and at Jost Van Dyke it is White Bay and its open-air bars, both reached by tender. Gustavia is the standout for a different reason. St Barths keeps large ships out, so you tender straight into a walkable harbor town of red roofs, French bistros, and two old forts. The book-ends are colonial: in Puerto Plata, a 16th-century fort and a cable car up Mount Isabel de Torres that only pays off on a clear morning, and at the end, San Juan, where Explora ties up at the Old San Juan piers and the walled town and El Morro start a few steps from the gangway.

This itinerary rewards people who like moving and reading a place on foot, who can take a beach day and a fort day in stride. Skip it if you want sea days and a slow rhythm, because three of these calls hinge on sea state and tendering, and a windy morning can thin or delay the boats. The Dominican stops, in particular, ask you to pick one fixed point and protect it rather than chase the whole list.

Explora III is all-suite and all-oceanfront.
