EXPLORA III · Alaska

10 nights, Vancouver to Vancouver

May 10, 2027 – May 21, 2027 · 10 nights · 10 stops · round-trip

Explora's name for it: A Journey Through Untamed Landscapes & Coastal Treasures

Ten nights, round-trip from Vancouver, with the ship berthing at Canada Place right in the downtown core, so embarkation day is one of the most walkable in the business. The route works the Inside Passage and trades town days for water days at a deliberate pace. Two of the stops are pure cruising: the ship threads Tracy Arm, narrowing to barely 300 yards between granite walls, and rotates in place at the tidewater face of Dawes Glacier in Endicott Arm. The town calls run from the working, lived-in to the famous: Wrangell, a real Southeast Alaska town of about 2,500 with rock art and a Tlingit clan house instead of jewelry rows; Skagway, a four-block gold-rush boomtown where almost everything is on foot from the pier; and Sitka, the only town here that faces the open Pacific, with a Russian Orthodox cathedral on the main street and far fewer ships calling.

This one rewards the traveler who wants Alaska between the marquee stops, not just the marquee stops. You get Wrangell and Prince Rupert, small ports most itineraries skip, alongside Juneau and Skagway. Be honest about the friction. Ketchikan is reached from a berth about 20 minutes north at Ward Cove, and that shuttle eats into your day. The glacier transits start near dawn, so set an alarm. If you want a packed, big-city Alaska or hate early mornings, a different routing fits you better.

The ship is all-suite and all-oceanfront.
