14 nights, Bridgetown to San Juan

March 21, 2027 – April 5, 2027 · 14 nights · 12 stops

Explora's name for it: An Extended Journey of Endless Beauty & Historic Treasures

This is a 14-night, point-to-point run from Bridgetown to San Juan, twelve calls strung across the eastern arc of the islands, with one long northwest reach to Miami breaking the chain in the middle. That Miami day is the giveaway: this is not a tight cluster of neighbors but a route that covers ground, from Barbados and Grenada in the deep south up through the French islands and the Virgins to Puerto Rico. The pace stays unhurried because nearly every island is a one-day, do-one-thing call. Grenada is a working nutmeg island, so I'd skip the distillery run for a cocoa or nutmeg estate like Belmont where the fruit gets split open in front of you. St. Barths keeps the big ships out by design, so Gustavia's harbor never crowds. On Virgin Gorda, tender in on the first wave and walk The Baths' boulders south to Devil's Bay before the crowds. San Juan ties up in the old quarter itself, plazas a few steps off the gangway.

Who it rewards: the traveler who likes range over depth and is happy to read each island in a single, well-chosen morning. Who should skip it: anyone who wants slow immersion in one place, or who dislikes tendering, since St. Barths, Cruz Bay, Terre-de-Haut, and Virgin Gorda all anchor offshore and run boats in. The Miami call also eats a full day on a U.S. port if you came purely for the islands.

Explora III is all-suite, all-oceanfront.
