6 nights, Fusina (Venice) to Piraeus (Athens)
Explora's name for it: A Journey of Adriatic Beauty & Aegean Enchantment
Six nights, seven ports, one direction: Venice down the Adriatic to Athens, with no sea days to break the rhythm. This is a port-every-day sailing that strings together the Venetian coast and the Cyclades. Rovinj is a tight pastel old town you reach straight off the tender, so you climb Grisia and the St. Euphemia bell tower first thing, then walk into the Golden Cape pine forest along the water. Dubrovnik is about the walls, done the instant they open and walked counter-clockwise from the Pile Gate before the coaches arrive. Kotor is the rare port where the approach is half the day: the ship threads the deep bay past Perast for about an hour before the town appears, so be on deck, not at breakfast. Milos rewards getting on the water, where Kleftiko and the sea caves are only reachable by boat.
This itinerary rewards a traveler who likes a full day ashore and a new harbor each morning, and who treats walled towns and tender ports as the point. It is not for anyone wanting downtime: there is no day at sea to recover. Two gateways also eat time. Fusina sits across the lagoon from Venice, and Piraeus is a transfer inland to the Acropolis. If you want a slower arc or beach mornings, pick a different route.
Explora II is all-suite, all-oceanfront.
