EXPLORA I · Caribbean & Central America

15 nights, San Juan to Miami

January 4, 2027 – January 20, 2027 · 15 nights · 10 stops

Explora's name for it: An Extended Journey of Dazzling Skylines & Wildlife Exploration

Fifteen nights, ten calls, one-way from San Juan to Miami. The pace is full. This is an island-a-day Caribbean run with little idle time, so read it as a working itinerary rather than a slow one. San Juan sets the tone: Explora ties up at the Old San Juan piers themselves, so the cobbled grid of pastel houses and the two harbor forts start a few steps from the gangway. Walk the Paseo de la Princesa early, before the heat, then climb to El Morro for late-morning light. Later calls trade on position more than on the towns: Road Town on Tortola is a base camp, not a destination, with the ferry terminal a short walk from the ship and a roughly 30-minute crossing to The Baths on Virgin Gorda, a far better sight than anything in town. Montserrat anchors a day around its volcano, with the buried capital of Plymouth viewable only with a permitted guide and dome views dependent on whether the summit is clouded.

This one rewards travelers who want range over rest and do not mind a beach or a fort most mornings. If you prefer sea days and a slow read of one region, skip it. Miami sits mid-route here as a port of call, not just a finish, and Cayo Levantado is a tender-only swim day, so a tour is rarely the point.

Explora I is all-suite and all-oceanfront.
